Huawei telecom talent, day1
The bus rolled out from the airport and the grey fog welcomed us. We had finally reached our destination. Recieving the telecom talent award, the ten of us are rewarded with a trip to China to get to know Huawei and experience the chinese culture. We travel together with the Norwegian and Islandic group. The lively traffic of Beijing embraced our bus as we drove towards the hotell. We stay at a conference centre at Beijing Language and Culture University, one of China's finest universities for language study. Having left our luggage at the hotell, we headed straight towards the Chinese wall and stopped for food on our way to the adventure. We all changed to matching t-shirts with the ”seeds for the future”-slogan on the back. An american tourist thought that we were part of an environment organisation to plant seeds in China. ”No, we're here to learn about telecom”- I replied and laughed. The great wall climbed its way across the mountain landscape. The steep steps chanllenged our thyes but didn't prevent us from reaching the top. Two camera men, one filming and the other one taking photos, followed us up the mountain as the sweat kept making our bodies shine in the sun. We were also convinced to have a few photo sessions with chinese kids.
It feels great to be back in China again.
